Happy Monday!
This week we are working on writing a narrative, and have been studying setting and plot. Today we wrote a great story starter, and students will be working on beginning their own stories with a partner. We are going to focus on graphic organizers and use them to map out the events that happen within a story.
In Math, we are going to be wrapping up our perimeter unit , and we will be moving into patterning by Friday (hopefully). I will be posting the patterning expectations and goals this week.
Please remember that the form for our social justice project closes TONIGHT. If you do not fill it out, your ideas will not be shared with the classes involved.
Events this Week:
Monday:
- Alex’s Birthday
- First Week of Advent
Tuesday:
- All Saints Band performs at 1pm (canceled if it is a snow day)
Please take the time to fill out this survey. I would like to know what ideas you have for raising money to support CHEO’s Therapeutic Clowning Program. How can we raise money for CHEO? This form will close on MONDAY. Please take a moment to fill out the form over the weekend.

We are also learning the relationship between different units of measure, and how to convert different measurements. Next, we will look at perimeter!

I also wanted to recognize an amazing artist who took a lot of time to sculpt the foxes in this story! They are absolutely incredible, and Ashtyn, you should be very proud of your hard work and talent.
Book orders are back and as always, they are a great way to bring books into your child’s life and into the classroom! It’s almost Christmas Time after all! And who doesn’t love getting a brand new book? 🙂
Book orders will be due November 25th! Thank you!
